Cookie Policy

This policy describes the cookies, browser storage and similar technologies used across Viona Travel websites, and how you can control non-essential analytics and marketing.

Effective and last updated: 6 September 2026

1. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Local storage keeps information in the browser without sending it automatically with every request. Pixels, tags and scripts can measure visits or advertising interactions. In this policy, “cookies” includes these related technologies where appropriate.

2. Categories we use

  • Necessary: remember your consent choice, protect and deliver the website, prevent abuse and support requested functions. These cannot be switched off through our tool.
  • Preferences: remember choices such as language. You can disable preference storage, although a choice you actively make may still apply for the current session.
  • Analytics: help us understand visits, page performance and website usage in aggregated reports.
  • Marketing: measure campaigns, attribute enquiries and support relevant advertising on Google, Meta or TikTok.

3. Technologies currently used

  • viona_cookie_consent — first-party necessary cookie recording your category choices for up to 12 months across vionatravel.com subdomains.
  • viona-cookie-consent — necessary local-storage copy of the same consent choice, retained until replaced or browser storage is cleared.
  • viona-locale — preference stored locally when you choose English or Arabic, retained until changed or browser storage is cleared.
  • Cloudflare security and delivery technologies — necessary protections may be set when traffic screening, bot protection or security challenges are triggered; duration varies by feature.
  • Google Tag Manager and, when configured, Google Analytics or Google Ads — analytics or marketing technologies loaded only under the relevant consent category.
  • Meta Pixel — marketing technology used to measure visits and enquiry-related events after marketing consent.
  • TikTok Pixel — marketing technology that may be enabled to measure campaign and enquiry events after marketing consent.
Third-party cookie names and durations can change when providers update their services. Their own policies provide the current provider-level details.

5. Data generated by analytics and marketing

Depending on your choice and provider configuration, these technologies may process IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, viewed pages, referring URL, campaign identifiers, interactions and conversion events. Our tracking layer is designed to exclude names, email addresses and telephone numbers from analytics and advertising event payloads. Form details are handled separately under the Privacy Policy.

6. Providers and international transfers

Cloudflare, Google, Meta and TikTok may process information in countries outside the UAE under their own terms and privacy notices. Where UAE law requires safeguards for an international transfer under our control, we apply an appropriate lawful mechanism. See the Privacy Policy for broader information about sharing and transfers.

7. Updates and contact

We update this policy when technologies or providers materially change. Check the date above for the current version. Questions can be sent to hello@vionatravel.com or Viona Travel, Business Center, SPC Free Zone, Sharjah, UAE.
